About Familiar
Familiar is a local music player that understands the sound of your music, not just its metadata: semantic audio search, BPM, key, energy and mood analysis, smart playlists and native Mac and iPhone clients, all on your own hardware. It has no built-in AI provider; instead it exposes your library as an MCP server, so Claude Desktop, Claude Code or any other MCP client can search the library and build playlists using your own subscription.
