About Atomic Agent
Atomic Agent is a local-first AI agent that keeps its control loop and state on your machine: it browses the web, reads and edits files, runs approved shell commands, inspects documents, remembers context across sessions and schedules follow-ups. It runs local models on a tuned llama.cpp, cloud models, or both. Its subscription provider drives the claude or codex CLI you are already signed into, so a flat-rate subscription can power the agent with no API key.
Can you use your ChatGPT plan in Atomic Agent?
Yes. Your ChatGPT plan, via the signed-in Codex CLI. Atomic Agent's own page says: "Drives a vendor CLI you are already signed into, so a flat-rate subscription can power the agent with no API key and no per-token billing. Two are supported: claude (Claude Code) and codex (OpenAI Codex)."
