smartly sends one plain-English sentence to a model, checks that the reply is a single shell command line, and runs it, knowing whether your userland is GNU or BSD. Besides API keys it can use your logged-in claude or codex CLI session, so a Claude or ChatGPT subscription you already pay for does the work.
Can you use your ChatGPT plan in smartly?
Yes. Your ChatGPT subscription, via your logged-in Codex CLI. smartly's own page says: "Anthropic and OpenAI by API key, or your own logged-in claude / codex CLI session if you already pay for a subscription."
