About pair-review
pair-review is an AI-assisted code review tool with a human in the loop: a local, GitHub-familiar interface where AI suggests and you decide, closing the feedback loop between you and your coding agents. It supports Claude, Codex, Cursor and other agent CLIs, so reviews run on the subscription you already have.
Can you use your ChatGPT plan in pair-review?
Yes. Your ChatGPT subscription, through Codex. pair-review's own page says: "Support for Claude, Antigravity, Codex, Copilot, OpenCode, Cursor, Pi, and Muse. Use your existing subscription!"
How to connect your plan
Claude Pro or Max
- Have the Claude Code CLI (
claude) installed and signed in; pair-review uses it as its default provider. - Run
npx @in-the-loop-labs/pair-review <PR number>, or pick Claude in the repository settings.
ChatGPT Plus or Pro
- Have the Codex CLI (
codex) installed and signed in. - Run pair-review with
--provider codex, or pick Codex in the repository settings.
Cursor
- Have the Cursor Agent CLI (
agent) installed and signed in. - Pick Cursor as the provider in pair-review's repository settings.
