About OpenChatCut

OpenChatCut is an open-source, local-first conversational video editor with a multi-track timeline: describe the edit and the agent adds captions, music and transitions, then you refine picture and sound yourself. Its built-in agent can run on your ChatGPT subscription through the official Codex CLI sign-in, or on an API key.

Can you use your ChatGPT plan in OpenChatCut?

Yes. Your ChatGPT subscription, via the official Codex CLI sign-in. OpenChatCut's own page says: "ChatGPT subscription: install the official Codex CLI 0.146.0 or newer"

How to connect your plan

ChatGPT Plus or Pro

Install the Codex CLI, then sign in under Settings, Agent model, OpenAI Codex.
